What we’ve been up to

  • A beautiful shot of one of the most beautiful places we've ever visited. If you haven't guessed, it was beautiful. We're all out of superlatives right now. We loved the street lights in Ohrid and the way they mimicked the construction of the houses in the old town (with the smallest floor at the bottom). We're heading to breakfast on our last morning here; have a look at @twowildwanderersfeast to see what we had!
  • We've returned to Hamburg today following a ten day trip around North Macedonia; much needed after what's been a weird 2019 in places. Its a magical country with wonderful people, great food and achingly gorgeous scenery. In the last week and a bit we've had some of the most incredible experiences that'll stay with us for a hell of a long time. We've fallen in love - and we'll be back soon.
.
.
More to come over the next few days!

  • Here's another from Chris's recent excursion back to the UK and Avon Beach. We love being by the sea, particularly in a place as peaceful and exquisitely stunning as this; there's something comforting and life affirming about the sound of the sea and the scent of salt on the wind. In a moment, everything is forgotten and everything is as it should be and right with the world once again.

  • Chris went on a short solo adventure recently back to the UK for a family visit, and spent an afternoon exploring Avon Beach on the South Coast. How pretty is this tree lined row of beach huts?
.
.
(Also, the bike isn't Chris's - he was exploring by car on this particular day. Adds something to the photo though, don't you think?)

  • We were amazed to return from our trip to Gdansk to find Spring had well and truly arrived in Hamburg; an explosion of the most exquisite green hues had woken the city from its wintry slumber in less than a week. Before we left, the majority of trees were still bare, with only a few scattered flowers making an appearance. Nature is an astounding thing. .

  • This beast is the biggest of part of a group of buildings in Gdansk built in the 1960s and 1970s called falowiec, which means waves in Polish. If you visit Gdansk, take a break from the old town and go and see it 😎
.
With 10 floors and at 850m long, it houses thousands and thousands of people, and is pinkish on this side but white and green on the other. An absolutely amazing thing to see but incredibly hard to photograph!
